Frank – a film tells the truth-not a comedy

Frank2
It’s been a while to find a new film that touches some part of my heart. Over all, Frank is a unique film that tells the truth. It is too real that makes me feel sad. I don’t like to categories it into any genre because it is not just a story. and I find it hard to think as a comedy.
Not everyone is born to be a star, even they got the talent. Like Frank and Clara, it is enough for them to have each other.
Not everyone can be Frank. You had a dream, the truth is, you don’t have enough talent.
Like other band members, Jon or Don, all want to be Frank. But they can’t.

For me, Frank represents a symbol of anti social media and anti-celebrity. Mask is a metaphor as well as the wall between himself and the world. Again, Frank is Frank, he doesn’t belong to the society and he doesn’t have a horrible family or childhood, but he got the talent.

The band doesn’t exist without Frank and it won’t be successfully because it doesn’t belong to the stage.

Frank

I don’t want to give away too much about the story and I am sure everyone get their own way to interpret it . All I want to share here is the sadness and the satisfaction which given by this film.

And here is the song from Frank without the mask. After all, he is Frank.

El Madrid it’s nice to see ya
it’s really nice to be here
I love your wall

Spilled your fat looks smoked out cow pokes sequinned mountain ladies
I love you all
Put your arms around me
fiddly digits, itchy britches
I love you all

I love you all
I love you all
I… Love… You all

Wash room smells they could be cleaner
stench of cigarettes and stale uri…
I love you all
Prodigal son waits to return to where the dogs played pool
I love you all

I love you all
I love you all
I… Love… You all
